A szőlőművelők és borászok szeretettel gondolnak mindazokra, akik munkájuk eredményét megbecsülik és fogyasztják. Emlékeztessen tehát ez a közadakozásból felállított szobor a számtalan ismeretlen borivóra, akiknek nemcsak Tokaj-Hegyalja, hanem az egész magyar borászat is hálával tartozik. Am ersten Oktober 2011. wurde die Statue des unbekannten Weintrinkers zur Erinnerung eingeweiht. Die Schöpfung von Sándor Györfi wird nach unserer Hoffnung ein schönes Symbol von der Stadt Tokaj und dem Kult des Weintrinken sein. Die Weinbauer und die Winzer denken sich gerne an allen, die die Früchte ihrer Arbeit ehren und konsumieren. Diese Statue aus verschiedenen Beitraege soll uns also an zahllosen unbekannten Weintrinker erinnern, dafür nicht nur Tokaj-Hegyalja, als auch der ganze ungarische Weinbau dankbar sein soll. To honor the Unknown Wine-Drinker there was a statue unveiling event in Tokaj, on October 1st, 2011. We hope that Györfi Sándor’s work will be a decent symbol of the City of Tokaj as well as the cult of wine drinking. Experts of viticulture and oenology are thinking of all those with affection who appreciate and enjoy the final result of their work, wine itself. Let this statue set up by public subscription remind us of the countless unknown wine drinkers who together with the Tokaj wine region, the whole Hungarian profession of oenology should be grateful to.
